TACA Legislative Objectives

TRANSPORTATION FUNDING

Promote sustainable and fiscally responsible funding levels for state transportation infrastructure that positively affect economic development, job creation, and the aggregate, concrete, cement, and related industries.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH

Support legislation to promote economic development through reasonable business and tax policy and by prohibiting or restricting unreasonable state, county, or local regulation of aggregate, concrete, cement, and related industries.

REGULATORY PERMITTING

Promote, maintain, and obtain reasonable, uniform and predictable statewide environmental permitting processes and associated management practices related to aggregate, concrete, cement, and related industries.

TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS AND SERVICES

Support and advocate for practical, reasonable, and safe regulations for the transportation of aggregates, concrete, cement, and related products.

WATER FUNDING AND MANAGEMENT

Promote sustainable and fiscally responsible funding levels for statewide water infrastructure projects, management systems, and regulatory controls that allow for long term availability and consumption by private citizens and commercial enterprises.

SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

Actively support and promote sustainable operational practices and policies that reflect sensible environmental stewardship of Texas’ natural resources and can benefit the communities in which we operate.
