Hear an update by Houston Stronger which will cover the background on the formation of this organization, activities undertaken since formation in December 2017, current activities, and a look ahead to 2024.

Christina M. Lindsay has served as the Executive Director of Houston Stronger since  January 8, 2021.  Houston Stronger is a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit that advocates for federal, state, and local funding to support flood resiliency around the Greater Houston and Gulf Coast Region through collaborative engagement. Houston Stronger seeks to organize funding and support for flood resiliency projects that can be supported by its membership of business and community organizations, civic clubs, and individuals consistent with the Houston Stronger Regional Plan, developed in 2018 and now a part of the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group’s Flood Plan which calls for $33 billion for flood control projects to provide protection in every area in the Texas Gulf Coast Region.
