Submissions must be received no later than May 1, 2017

The Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association’s Truck Driver and Production Employee of the Year Award acknowledges the significant contribution of truck drivers and production employees to the growth and success of individual companies and the concrete, aggregates and cement industry. As a salute to these key members of the production and delivery team, the award is judged on the employee’s career achievement, safety record, professionalism, competence, and customer service skills in a manner that will enhance the public image of the industry.

Competition is restricted to:
– Nominees must be full-time truck drivers or employees. Nominees can only be nominated in ONE category.
– Nominees must be an employee of a TACA Member Company or a subcontractor of a TACA Member Company for at least six months to be eligible to participate.
– Each member company will be allowed a maximum of one truck driver nominee and one production employee nominee per plant location.
– Only TACA members with owner/operator drivers may enter those drivers in the competition. It is mandatory that the owner/operator company drives for a TACA member company and that same TACA member company has control over the operator’s safety program.

Truck Driver of the Year – one driver shall be selected by the judges from the qualified nominees
Production Employee of the Year – one production employee shall be selected by the judges from the qualified nominees

The 2017 Truck Driver of the Year and 2017 Production Employee of the Year will be honored on June 16, 2017 at Four Seasons Dallas at Las Colinas in Irving, TX.

Nominations can be made by completing the entry form and providing the required supporting documents. Nominations must include one high-resolution electronic image of the nominee dressed in his or her normal working attire. Entries must be received by May 1, 2017.

Special qualifications or other recognition (i.e., finalist in truck rodeo, company or association employee of the year, community service recognition, a job related competition, etc.)

Describe any unusual on-the-job experiences (such as helping a motorist, assisting during an accident, community service, family information, etc.) that makes this nominee extraordinary.

Why should this nominee be selected as TACA Truck Driver of the Year or Production Employee of the Year?

MVR must be provided for truck drivers and production employee nominees.
Customer letters of compliment or testimonials may also be submitted. Please limit to a maximum of three letters in PDF format.

Submit one high-resolution photograph of the nominee in their work attire. This can be in jpg or pdf format.
